Registration and import in Iraq run through a licensed local applicant: a scientific office that is pharmacist-owned or pharmacist-managed and holds a syndicate letter, with an import licence issued per shipment. If you do not have that partner yet, we introduce you to offices we work with in Baghdad and Erbil and coordinate between plant, office and authority in one language; the plant's identity stays protected by NCNDA until the contract is signed. Importers who already operate a licensed scientific office file in their own name.
Yes. The Kurdistan Medicine Control Agency runs its own file, which includes a manufacturer authorisation letter certified by the chamber of commerce and the Iraqi embassy, a certified GMP certificate for the site and the applicant pharmacist's Kurdistan syndicate card; the current KMCA checklist applies. 38 of the 60 registered lines on this page already hold both registrations; for the 22 Italian lines registered in Baghdad only, the KMCA file is prepared as a second file and followed by our team in Erbil.
Production is quoted at 3 to 4 months from formula lock and approved artwork to the first pallet. The registration file is assembled in weeks when the plant's GMP and Free Sale Certificates are current, and legalisation runs while production is under way. Review time is set by the authority: Iraq operates a fast track for products with GMP certification from reference agencies such as the EMA, FDA or WHO, and whether a given site qualifies is checked per product. We quote the current expectation for your product, never a guaranteed date.
Every line ships with a Certificate of Analysis, certificate of origin, certificate of conformity, Free Sale Certificate and MSDS on request, plus the site's GMP certificate and a CPP where an authority requires it; legalisation is at the buyer's cost. The plant documents are reused for Gulf files, but each market is a separate national file: the SFDA registers supplements through its electronic system in roughly 2 to 4 months, the UAE MOHAP runs its own registration, and both require a local representative. We coordinate those files with your representative in the same way as the Iraqi one.
